The Marijuana Program

  • A trained and licensed  physician must conduct an in-person consultation with the patient before the compassionate use designation can be granted.
  • After the patient has been evaluated by the doctor, the doctor will decide whether or not the patient is eligible to purchase medical marijuana.
  • After receiving certification from their attending physician, patients are required to submit an application for a medical marijuana ID card to the Department of Health.
  • According to the law, patients must be re-certified either every 70-days or 210 days.
